Today the Verde Tech campus came together for an incredible celebration of learning and hard work. Students enjoyed barbecued chicken and barbecued guinea fowl raised and processed by our own agriculture students, along with fresh lettuce they grew and harvested from The Farm at Bent River.
We’re so proud of our students’ dedication from farm to table!

Somewhere on the highway between Phoenix and Cottonwood, a very large surprise is making its way to the Science Vortex.
Thanks to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, we are becoming the proud new caretakers of… well… let’s just say it has wings. Or had wings.
Stay curious, Cottonwood.
Our campus is extra festive this year thanks to the turkeys our students have been raising as part of their hands-on agriculture program.
We’re grateful for our hardworking students, dedicated staff, and supportive community that makes Verde Tech such a special place to learn and grow. Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Join us for a Parent Meeting on Monday, December 1st from 5:30–6:30 PM at the District Office Board Room (1 N. Willard, Cottonwood).
This meeting is not required, but families who attend will be able to enroll for camp at the meeting. Come with your questions and learn about our district’s amazing partnership with the historic Mingus Mountain Camp and Retreat Center.
District-wide enrollment opens Tuesday, December 2nd.
As with last year, a non-refundable $25 t-shirt payment will be due at registration.
We are always grateful for wonderful parent volunteers. Please remember that all volunteers must be cleared through Human Resources and have a valid IVP card on file.
We cannot wait for our 3rd annual Winter Camp at Mingus Mountain.
We’ll see everyone OFF GRID! 🌲❄️

Their teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to sustainability shine through in everything they do.

Today, Verde Tech High School had the honor of welcoming The Honorable Judge Henry Whitmer from the Yavapai County Superior Court as part of the One Judge, One School program.
Judge Whitmer spoke with our students on the important topic:
“How NOT to Get a Felony Using Your Cell Phone.”
He shared real-world examples and recent cases from the media, highlighting how poor choices—such as sharing inappropriate content, engaging in bullying, or misusing technology—can carry lifelong consequences.
Students also learned about the workings of the judicial system, had the opportunity to ask questions, and engaged in meaningful discussion with Judge Whitmer.
We are grateful to Judge Whitmer for investing his time and wisdom into our students, helping them understand how the choices they make today can shape their futures. 🌟
