Today the Verde Tech campus came together for an incredible celebration of learning and hard work. Students enjoyed barbecued chicken and barbecued guinea fowl raised and processed by our own agriculture students, along with fresh lettuce they grew and harvested from The Farm at Bent River.

We’re so proud of our students’ dedication from farm to table!

Something unusual is on the move.

Somewhere on the highway between Phoenix and Cottonwood, a very large surprise is making its way to the Science Vortex.

Thanks to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, we are becoming the proud new caretakers of… well… let’s just say it has wings. Or had wings.

Stay curious, Cottonwood.

We’re incredibly proud of our Verde Tech students who took initiative this week to solve a real problem on campus. After noticing flooding in our barn area, they got creative — recycling old pallets and repurposing them into a raised walkway to keep the space dry and safe.

Their teamwork, problem-solving, and commitment to sustainability shine through in everything they do.

Mr. Dambrov’s biology class dove into hands-on experimentation, investigating how temperature affects catalase enzyme activity.

They observed real-time reactions, made predictions, and collected data—building both their scientific knowledge and lab skills. 🧠💥

🌱 Students in Verde Tech High School’s agricultural science classes spent the day improving our front garden! They planted new greenery, began building an arbor, and worked on irrigation lines. 🌿

A huge thank you to Bedrock Landscape Supply, Sedona Plant Company, Sedonuts, Verde River Growers, and an anonymous donor for making this possible. 💚

We’re still looking for a bench to complete the space—if you’d like to help, please reach out!

📱 Making Smart Choices with Technology ⚖️

Today, Verde Tech High School had the honor of welcoming The Honorable Judge Henry Whitmer from the Yavapai County Superior Court as part of the One Judge, One School program.

Judge Whitmer spoke with our students on the important topic:
“How NOT to Get a Felony Using Your Cell Phone.”

He shared real-world examples and recent cases from the media, highlighting how poor choices—such as sharing inappropriate content, engaging in bullying, or misusing technology—can carry lifelong consequences.

Students also learned about the workings of the judicial system, had the opportunity to ask questions, and engaged in meaningful discussion with Judge Whitmer.

We are grateful to Judge Whitmer for investing his time and wisdom into our students, helping them understand how the choices they make today can shape their futures. 🌟
