Congratulations to the Verde Tech Graduating Class of 2024! You have been provided the tools, now go out and make your impact on the world! #verdetech #classof2024 #cocsd #cottonwood

Spring is in full swing, and Verde Tech's Agriculture Program is vibrant with growth and activity! FFA member Ethan Schaefer and his fellow students check the progress of our two newly installed honeybee colonies. Liz Akers carefully holds one of our four bunnies recently born. She and others have been actively working to breed our two adult rabbits and tame the babies. Christine Marshall and Jordyn Myers plant tomatoes on the Farm at Bent River. Their class has adopted a hoop house and grew tomatoes and peppers from seed for the project. Teacher Leo Beltran holds a duckling that will become an addition to the ducks he and students have been raising on campus. #FFA #VerdeTech #COCSD

COCSD 8th Grade Aviation students attended the MESA STEM Competition at University of Arizona and earned 2nd and 11th places out of 24 schools in the paper helicopter challenge; bravo!
They also got to tour the expansive Pima Air & Space Museum :)

Verde Tech Graduating Senior Fernando Sanchez and Junior Sedona Schriebman pose after finding out they passed their Math courses at Yavapai College. Fernando completed Math 142 and Sedona Math 182 and 183 (Precalculus). Two other students not pictured, Kevin Anderson (also graduating) and Thomas Amundson completed Math 242 earlier in the year. Yavapai College is an option for Verde Tech students who wish to pursue upper level courses outside of the general high school curriculum.

The kids at Verde Tech had a great time last night at their 2024 space-themed prom. A huge special thanks to Dani Simpson, Bethany Campista, and the rest of the Verde Tech PTO for making sure the kids got an awesome prom!
